Hip Hop Studies Department

Welcome to the OFFICIAL Blog for the Hip Hop Studies Department at Brigham Young College.

If you are currently enrolled in one of our courses, use this blog to get material not available in the course reader.

If you are just visiting, welcome.

The Hip Hop Studies department was founded in 1997 with a hefty grant from the Universal Zulu Nation and the estate of the late Darren "Buffy, the Human Beat Box" Robinson.

The goal of the Hip Hop Studies Department at BYC is to bring Hip Hop Scholarship to northern Utah in a safe, morally appropriate, family-friendly way.

In the words of the Sugar Hill Gang:

"Skiddlee beebop a we rock a Scoobie Doo and guess what America we love you!"

Brigham Young College does not currently maintain a website, so we must use 'blogger' to disseminate important information.
